how did i get here?
I have a Master's degree specializing in conflict management, and over 8 years of hands-on involvement in crafting equity policies, corporate strategies, non-profit equity initiatives, wellness programs, community engagements, and anti-racism strategies, I am equipped with the tools to drive meaningful change in diverse settings.
My journey has been defined by a passion for dismantling systemic barriers and advocating for marginalized communities. From drafting comprehensive corporate equity frameworks to facilitating the development of municipal strategies that prioritize inclusivity, my work is guided by a commitment to fostering environments where everyone can thrive. But my work goes beyond merely meeting the bare minimum of what is considered equitable and accessible.

Progressive policy rooted in research, and rooted in community
When crafting policy and conducting research my goal is to center the lived experiences of those the policy will impact most. These experiences should be placed within a larger context of history and existing systemic barriers. I believe in research and policy that is co-created between the consultant, the client and the community to ensure shared ownership of the final outcome.

I have worked with non-profits, community organizations, student movements, corporations, federal departments, and municipalities for the last 7 years as a facilitator, educator, and consultant. I am often meeting staff members during a moment of internal crisis or reorganization - and I’m coming into their space from the outside. That means I am lacking a lot of valuable context, insight and expertise necessary to properly find solutions - that is why my approach is based in conversation and systems analysis. It is based in the understanding that I am there to stimulate internal reflection, I am there to offer links and insight, I am there to provide analysis and expertise - and sometimes I am there to validate feelings and thoughts that have gone unacknowledged.

what’s in a space?
I’m passionate about the power of space to harness connection, growth, learning, joy, celebration, memory, and mutual understanding. As an experienced event coordinator and space curator I always begin by interrogating the purpose of the space I am about to create … and then, the logistics, timelines, and to-do lists come after.
